Light guns...
I've heard a lot of stories about the light guns, but what I remember is they don't work on HDTV. But I'm guessing they work with any house of the dead game (PAL, US, or JAPAN) release. And they have to be the same make as the console. So if I have a US console, I need the US light guns. Am I right?

Re: Light guns...
They only work with CRT TV sets. The guns do not work with any other technology of television; no projection, no LCD, no LED, and no plasma compatibility.
The official JP Sega lightgun hasa hardwired region lock which prevents it from working with any game from another region. So it will work on any region console provided it's being used with a JP region game.
None of the other lightguns that were released posses a region lock.

Re: Light guns...
If your after just House of the Dead, both the original xbox (has house of the dead 3, which includes unlockable house of the dead 2), and by proxy xbox 360, and the wii (house of the dead 2+3 remake), are all very cheap and affordable options.
Xbox original offers LCD light guns that work on anything (i use a projector, and I have one that works for ps2 + xbox + pc, and it works great). The wii controller converts to a reasonably useful lightgun.

I always thought that the House of the Dead 2 version that was include with HotD3 for Xbox felt a bit off or something. Like it was running too fast. I only played it once..Macabre wrote:If your after just House of the Dead, both the original xbox (has house of the dead 3, which includes unlockable house of the dead 2), and by proxy xbox 360, and the wii (house of the dead 2+3 remake), are all very cheap and affordable options.

Have you noticed anything similar, or am I nuts?
