Jet Grind Radio...

Post by sega2k »

Is it just me or is jet grind radio extremely hard in some parts of the game. I'm at a part where I have to race my teammate and he's runs are flawless and if I even touch him I get bumped like 20 feet backwards. I wish there was a difficulty setting and the ability to change the controls. Have the camera changer as "L" as well as spraying paint as the same button is the most frustrating thing ever in this game. I try to spray and instead change my camera angle.

I couldn't get into this game because of the controls, it was so frustrating, after a while I realized I'm forcing myself to play and I'm not enjoying.
Tony Hawk, imho, is a much better game in every aspect except graphics

Yea, thats the problem that I feel when I play it. I just keep retrying it but its just too frustrating. The controls are flawed as well as the camera. I'm glad Im not the only one who feels this way.

Yeah that game is in the Tenchu camp for what it is vs what it could be. You can't help but love it though.

It can be difficult at certain parts but I completed the game pretty quick. I didn't have any problem with the controls. It's an awesome game in my opinion.

Edit:
I'm pretty sure I know the part you're talking about. It took me quite a few tries before I could beat him. Very satisfying once I finally beat him though. Just keep at it. You'll beat him.

For me it wasn't that the game was difficult, I just couldn't bear the controls so I stopped playing after only a few levels, I was really upset because I wanted to love this game and it really disappointed me.
Not only did I not like the controls, I just hate the analog stick on the DC controller, why the hell does it spin around itself?!

EXACTLY!!! I would be pushing directly forward on the analog stick and I would somehow jump towards the left or right. I was like how in the world is this possible?

Man you have no idea how glad I am to find out that I'm not the only one in the world who couldn't get into this game, I was feeling so lonely, I thought something is wrong with me, I met a shrink and he gave me pills that made me feel like a zombie, told me that if that won't make me like JGR then I'm getting the shock treatment so I lied to him and told him that, wait, there's someone at the door...

I love the game and never found it too difficult. Sure, there is a learning curve but nothing too daunting. If you liked the gameplay and graphics but found it too hard then you could try Jet Set Radio Future on X-Box. That game is a lot easier to master.
