Re: Sega Game Gear Recommendations?
I have a GameGear, although I can't make many recommendations because the only games I've played are the ones I've had and none of them seemed to be noticeably better then the other, I think Sonic Triple Trouble is better the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on the GameGear though.

Hmmm, never heard of Triple Trouble. Although, honestly, I'm not a big fan of Sonic gamesTeamXlink wrote:I have a GameGear, although I can't make many recommendations because the only games I've played are the ones I've had and none of them seemed to be noticeably better then the other, I think Sonic Triple Trouble is better the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on the GameGear though.

I know, I should probably be banned from the site... lol.

Triple Trouble was developed for the GameGear, and wasn't a Genesis port.

i have had many gamegears and a lot of games for it. atm i only have 18 of them. i wouldn't recommend that you go out and by to many of these games, but if you happen to see them cheap you should grab them. out of the 18 here i think these 6 are ok and ill name a few that are good. i also didnt mind Side pocket, but i liked it on Nintendo as a kid. a few of these games are not cheap.
Sonic Drift (ok)
Sonic CHAOS (best sonic game for GG)
ECCO the dolphin (ok)
Paperboy 2 (ok)
NBA Jams TE (ok)
Riddick Bowe boxing (ok)
Megaman (good) $40
Shining force sword of hajya (good) $20
Shining Force Gaiden (good) $not sure

Yeah, you're right, they aren't too cheap. I'll keep an eye out for good deals though. I do like paperboy but I'd probably be better off getting the SNES or Genesis version.Gary_b wrote:i have had many gamegears and a lot of games for it. atm i only have 18 of them. i wouldn't recommend that you go out and by to many of these games, but if you happen to see them cheap you should grab them. out of the 18 here i think these 6 are ok and ill name a few that are good. i also didnt mind Side pocket, but i liked it on Nintendo as a kid. a few of these games are not cheap.

$100! Wow, that's a bit pricey. I might as well just buy the actual games.Macabre wrote:Only one recommendation for game gear... Please go to stoneagegamer website and buy the gg flash cartridge.

Re: Sega Game Gear Recommendations?
I just got one of the Shining Force games (not sure which one) off eBay for $7.50. Someone had it in a lot but agreed to sell it to me separate. Good deal

Re: Sega Game Gear Recommendations?
I've played a bunch of games on the GG and I have to say that the following games would be worth picking up if you can find and afford them:
Mortal Kombat 1 or 2 (both pretty good)
Sonic Triple Trouble (Excellent game)
Chakan The Forever Man (brilliant action/platform)
Outrun
Fantastic Dizzy (awesome but v rare!)
Can't remember any others at the moment but I also have Sonic 1, 2, Drift, Chaos and I think Spinball too... all of which are good. I have Primal Rage but that's pretty god awful if I'm honest lol
