I'm in no rush for another set, but his buy-it-now is rather low, even if one is missing a battery cover.

Re: very cheep ebay dreamcast controllers wireless
there is another listing of those for 36$ after shipping. I just can't pull myself to pay that much. Are they worth it? I do get annoyed with the standard controllers short length when trying to lay back on a bed. I'm either gonna buy these or an innovations arcade stick.
edit: got the arcade stick instead

Can't you take the guts out of those ugly things and get a normal Dreamcast controller and stuff the parts inside it someway?

I recently bought four extension cables @ £1.99 each off Ebay. They were branded Madcatz and boxed. An alternative to consider and cheap to boot.

Actually, having looked on my Ebay, I have remembered wrongly. They were £9.99 a pair. Still quite reasonable I think.Neohound wrote:I recently bought four extension cables @ £1.99 each off Ebay. They were branded Madcatz and boxed. An alternative to consider and cheap to boot.

This is 100% possible, but there are a few trips in the road, mainly being that it will have to be a pure controller.hack, as the location of the analog stick in relation to the d-pad is far to different than the dreamcast official controller. Also you would have to make the analog triggers digital if you were going to due to their location on the inner board.Anthony817 wrote:Can't you take the guts out of those ugly things and get a normal Dreamcast controller and stuff the parts inside it someway?
Also factor I'm that this thing has onboard vibration motors, and one vmu slot for.two controllers on the reciever, would make it difficult to make look good in the official pad.
It would he far easier to retrofit this onto a ps2 controller due to reshape of everything, and extend the original analog stick from.the docs pad to the surface of he ps2 controller, and just wire the buttons to the ps2 existing buttons. Again the analog triggers would be forced to become digital on/off buttons.
In my opinion, its not worth it... I'll just repeat what I said earlier about the glitching when using IR pads with analog (constant signal) information being transmitted...

Honestly, these controllers are pure shit. I hate them so much. Not onlyis the analog stick switched with the d-pad, but its uncomfortably far away for consistent thumb movement (like in pso). Also they have a tendency to bug out and you have to flip the player 1/2 toggle switch on the controller to reset the thing in mid play.(I've had 3 sets of these, each and every controller had this problem).
The only reason to have these is the fact that they are the ONLY released wireless controllers. Pictures of a wireless dc pad that looked like the Saturn 3d pad were out, but these never got released.(naki brand iirc).
It's just better, financially and play wise, to use the total control adapter and the katana wireless controllers.

Just won them for 20 bucks. Got him to reduce his asking price. This will make playing on the bed a thousand times easier.
