3 dc games you'd take to a desert island

Post by daniel116 »

(assuming I'm there alone and can't take multiplayer games)
Shenmue: I can seriously play this game forever, go for a complete note book.
Sega Rally 2: I can play through the 10 year championship mode forever.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2: The most addicting game in history, again, going for 100% completion will take forever.

How bout you?

i agree THPS2 is great and it would have to be one of mine as well. i would also need Grandia 2 and probably Hydro thunder for some racing action.

Hydro Thunder I can understand and I was also thinking if I'll go with that one or sega rally, but Grandia 2? it's a great game but after you finish it there's nothing else to do...

probably Shenmue 2, ikaruga and jet set radio. Shenmue because I could play that from scratch over and over, Ikaruga because I could probably spend 10 years honning my skills and getting through the whole game without using a continue and JSR because I would just start it from scratch and unlock all the grafittis and characters again and then just run around beating my high scores, and the music is wicked

Alien Front, Ikaruga/or/Triggerheart, & PSO so I can hunt till I die...

On the other hand, maybe I would take Spirit of Speed with me so I can practice and get so good at bad games that if I were ever rescued I could be the ultimate game-review flamer.

Shenmue 2 - I could play Lucky Hit and arm wrestling over and over! ;)

Crazy Taxi - Ya ya ya ya ya! I'd get that CRAZY licence eventually!

Jet Grind Radio - This is one of very few games that I just couldn't put down.
PSO Characters:
Teal'c - lvl 119 HUcast - GC# 11666
Alto - lvl 39 FOnewm - GC# 12964

maybe not so much to do in Shenmue 1 but if you spent all your time getting his moves to 100%, earning money, playing games etc it would certainly take up a lot of time! And Shenmue 2 is just even better, I could do the work and competitions, betting and fighting etc for ages. I never finished THPS2 and getting 100% on that would be a mammoth undertaking

i never closed all the gaps, but i did complete all goals and cash with every player including made up players a few times. i actually did that on every system i own the game for. ps1, GBA Dreamcast, N64 etc. i found that looking for and closing gaps was boring. it would give you a goal though.
