Phantasy Star Online V2 savefile

Post by Scandinavian »

I put the topic here, since it has nothing to do with scheduling:)

When i try to backup my PSO memory card then I can only copy one of the files! The Guildcard!
If my memory card should get corrupted, but i have the guildcard on another card, would I be able to copy it back if I make a new file?
I have the serial code that i used on the savefile!

If that for some reason is possible, wouldnt it be possible to play the same PSO charecter on both of my Dresmcast´s? As long as I keep a fresh backup on the card?

If the file gets corupted and I make a new gamefile, should I then delete my new guildcard and replace it with my old one (same serial)?

Still new to this PSO world:D

2 ways of backing up your char, none of them involve the copy and save feature on the dreamcast menu (as you saw, only one file was transfered)
- Use a specific program to do it, i know some can do it, can't remember wich
- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbfTP7IZmRM

A 3rd alternative is to store it on the server, but if you want it stored on the vmu then you have to do the 2 above.

Now, onto the the new dreamcast, if the dreamcast has a pso serial, flash the memory, when inserting PSO it will ask for the serial, the serial you input must satisfy both these conditions
- The PSO disk you're using must accept the serial
- The PSO save you're using must be the same you used when creating the char

If you input a non valid PSO serial (input a us serial on the pal version of the game) the game will not be playable
If you input a serial different from your char, game will work but the game will lock the char.
So 1st thing you need to know is the serial you're going to use, type it somewhere, backup your save, grab the 2nd dreamcast, flash the memory if necessary, input PSO, input the SNAK (serial number & access key of PSO), load your save and play.
