Industrial Spy - Your Impressions

Post by Neohound »

I've just been looking at this game and have found it for £12 inc p&p from the US. I'd like to know of your experience/impression of the game and tell me whether I should buy it or not.

Is that a reasonable price to pay for a vgc copy ? What's the gameplay like ? What are the graphics like ? I want to know everything about the game if possible.

I played it and didnt get passed the second stage. The graphics arent that great but considering the game always runs in 3 way split screens Iam willing to let that slide. The game is an interesting concept of being spies stealing information while you the boss tell them where to go and when to go.Each character has something their good like lock picks, hacking ,fighting and so on, and that can be upgraded after every mission.

Where its worth buying hmm...thats a tough one, I like the game but I would not pay more than 2-5 dollars for it.

I'm with Cloofoo on this one. I borrowed it from a friend back in the day and found it boring, confusing, and not fun. It is not really an action game as you don't directly control any of the characters, you only instruct them where to go with instructions. I've seen the US release for cheap, I'd say 12GBP is over priced unless the EU version is somehow rare.

I think it is a DC exclusive, I would probably be kinder to it and find a reason to enjoy it if I played it now :)

Mmmm........well the £12 is split into £5 for the game and £7 for the postage. That's about the best I've seen it go for and there is no european version - it was US only.

The way you both describe it reminds me of one or two DS games I've played. Actually, I kinda quite like the idea behind the game but I also have a fairly limited attention span so not sure if I'd find it boring or not. I HATED doing the boring bits before each mission in Rainbow Six and even in Hidden And Dangerous.

What to do ? I may offer him £10 and see what he says. If it's a yes, then I'll probably go for it lol

Wildcard, good to hear that you enjoyed the game. What are the graphics like ? Also, am I right In assuming it's a Japanese game ? Does it have a cartoon/Manga style or is it more realistic ?

I've actually already bought it (couldn't get the seller down by even a cent !) but it would still be nice to hear your views.
