PAL Unreal Tournament Printing Errors

So I was looking through the manual of my PAL copy of UT the other day, only to notice a series of errors. Some pages had random pictures of weapons with no text with others incorrectly labeled, for example, under the description for BioRifle there is a picture of a pulsegun, and a few pages down under the Pulse Gun heading there is a picture of some armour.

They are on pages 15 through 20, I did a quick internet search on this but found nothing. I'm really wondering if there was another corrected print run made, or whether Inforgrames or Secret Level actually proof read their manual before manufacture. Does anyone else's Unreal manual have these errors?

Wow! That's really messed up! I just checked my US version and it doesn't have those mistakes but I did find a couple. The health vial and health pack are mixed up:





Other than that everything seems fine. They must have been in a big rush with the PAL version.

These seem like some pretty inexcusable mistakes. How rushed could they possibly have been?

Yup my pal version is all messed up as well, exactly the same

mhh, I checked the german manual. Seems correct and complete.

UT arrived late June 2001 in Europe. They just maybe lost their dedication?! Commercial death of DC, dropped online mode, errors in the manual...

Hmm so it must just be the PAL UK version thats completely screwed aside from the small mistake in the US manual. I wonder if they made a corrected print run at all, but i doubt it that late in the DC's officially supported lifespan.

Actaully having a closer look I also found this on the GameFAQs website, it lists 37 different box/manual errors for PAL games if you scroll down the bottom. Apparently the unreal manual also lists some maps as 4 player split-screen compatible when you actually can't do this at all in game

My favourite on that list is that the PAL Exihibition of Speed manual actually refers to the game as 'Roadsters' throughout due to a dodgy cut and paste job
