Illbleed - best candidate for a DC remake on Wii U?

Post by rooster »

Maybe this idea would go over better on a Wii U forum, but as I'm not registered at any, I present you with this food for thought. How would you feel about a remake of IllBleed, in HD, on Wii U? I think it would be incredible. The GamePad would function as a Horror Monitor, plus display maps and item lists. It would be perfect. Agree? ..Probably not, but I don't care!

Fatal Frame aka Project Zero

Not a DC title, but truly a perfect candidate for a Wii U remake...

SEGA of Japan has shown complete and total disinterest in the Wii U, on top of that they are ABANDONING optical form 3rd party games for digital content. Last but not least, why the hell would SEGA approve an underrated almost obsure horror title released late in Dreamcast's life for a console thats already getting negative feedback, will cost $400, has PS3 graphics and potential to fail miserably?

I almost feel insulted by this topic.

An underrated horror gem like "Illbleed" does NOT deserve to be on Nintendo's 5200 piece-of-garbage,gimmicky,incompetent iPad console.

Anyways.. I don't know about SoJ, but Sega is making Aliens: CM for the WU. And they'd be interested in proudly showcasing an overlooked DC game, as they did by including Space Channel 5 in the DC collection last year.

Gearbox which is an independent American developer is making Alien Colonial Marines. Development was from May 2008 to April 2012. The 360 and PS3 version will be published by SEGA in February 2013. That is the date SEGA discontinues all 3rd party console software publishing worldwide.

The Wii U port(which was developed in June 2011) has no release date, and based on its demos at E3, someone else may publish it.

SEGA will not waste any time bringing Dreamcast's library to Wii U. There's a reason why they didn't with Wii.

Again, the thought of Illbleed on Wii U makes me sick and disgusts me. But I can find solace in the fact that will NEVER happen.

Those were the novelty games from Dreamcast that required things like a Fishing Rod,Marcas and a Light Gun marketing wise in 2007-2008 it made sense. SEGA spared its more mainstream stuff for XBLA and PSN.

Illbleed is too obscure, like I said, SEGA of Japan has zero interest in Wii U. Besides they're too busy re-organizing.

Oh look, a thread MrSega is posting in just went wildly off topic.

1. Sega has nothing to do with Illbleed. It was developed by a company called Crazy Games, which I kind of doubt even exists anymore. Sega didn't publish the game either. It was published by AIA in the states, Jaleco in Japan. So, if the company still exists they could… god forbid, put it on the next Sony console.

2. No one else can publish Aliens: Colonial Marines. Sega is the rights holder for the Alien franchise. Gearbox is developing it because Sega wanted them to.
