Crazy Taxi 1 vs. Crazy Taxi 2
So I just purchased Crazy Taxi 2 (hasn't arrived yet though) and I thought I'd make this post to see which one most people prefer. Which one do you like best and why?

I like 2 more. The challenge stages are creative and fun, and I LOVE the jump button. I just cruise by jumping down the road and over other cars for fun.

First. Perfer the San Fran setting over the New York setting.

Yeah, the ability to jump would change up the gameplay quite a bit I would think. Sounds fun to me!dark wrote:and I LOVE the jump button. I just cruise by jumping down the road and over other cars for fun.

I would love a new Crazy Taxi game with a huge open world! Imagine being able to drive around the entire city of New York or San Francisco! That would be pretty awesome IMO!CD AGES wrote:First. Perfer the San Fran setting over the New York setting.

I like the first one a lot more. Just never really got into the second one. Didn't seem to be laid out as well.

Crazy Taxi 1. Better city and better music, although I spent a lot of time in Crazy Taxi 2 hitting that golf ball.

Anyone dig Super Runabout? Whatever your thoughts on the car handling and the missions, the recreation of big swathes of San Francisco in colorful graphics were pretty cool.

slight edge goes to 2 but 2's new mechanics with 1's city would be ungodly

Re: Crazy Taxi 1 vs. Crazy Taxi 2
Seems to be pretty conclusive that the city is better in the original Crazy Taxi. I should be getting my copy Monday so I can come to my own conclusion then.
I have yet to pick up a copy of that. The only thing that I don't like about it (from what I've seen in videos) is that it seems to run at a very low framerate. Either that or it's just plain slow like 4x4 Evolution.dark wrote:Anyone dig Super Runabout? Re: Crazy Taxi 1 vs. Crazy Taxi 2
I would say both CT1 & CT2 are both as good as each other although CT1 is a little more immediate. Always had difficulty getting used to Crazy Taxi 2's jump function; longed for an N64 type controller with said button underneath the base.
