I've been reading into the Sega Saturn netlink modem a little. I see that it uses a direct connection method that doesn't have to go through a server to reach the other player. The downside being that you need to find the other person's phone number and pay the bill.
I was wondering if there would be a possibility to provide the netlink modem internet connection through the PC-DC server I've made in Windows 98.
I don't see why this wouldn't work considering both the Dreamcast modem and netlink modem uses dial-up. What I'm thinking is; by this method I'll be able to browse the Internet but will have to pay the dial bill for online multiplayer.

Re: Sega Saturn Netlink with PC-DC server?
I'm not sure if Saturn supports blind dial. If it does then it should work. I've used my netopia router for connecting the web browser. Mainly I just use the browser for backing up game saves to email with the built-in email client. But yeah, as far as games, they don't use the internet. You need an actual phone line because it uses direct dial to the other player. If you wanted to play locally you can put a phone line simulator between 2 saturns that both have netlink adapters.
