Dreamcast Karaoke Unit Songs

Does anyone know if the songs from the Dreamcast Karaoke Unit were archived somewhere? This is obviously assuming that the songs were downloaded to the VMU and not just streamed from the server or temporarily downloaded to RAM. I'm really not sure how it worked. It would be awesome if Dreamcast-Talk could host the songs to make the unit operable again. As is it's not much more than a useless hunk of plastic.

Well that's a bummer! Does anyone know what the songs actually were though (MP3s, Midi, random proprietary format, etc...)? It might be possible to re-create the songs some how and host them.

I'm just throwing stuff out there so it's possible that this is completely impossible!
