Controller screw help

Hi I'm having some trouble trying to clean up a DC controller but am stuck pretty early on in the process. I'm using a mini philips head that was advertised as for a Gameboy (not the triwing just a regular philips). Anyway I got 3 screws out but now one is stripped. Tried super glue but no go. This also happened to me on a game com and GB pocket. Is it possible my screwdriver is too small and is stripping the screws? Any ideas on how to get the stripped one out of the controller? (luckily it's not one of the two deep under the handles) Thanks in advance!
