I am on the fence about purchasing a Sony KV-36HS500 off a guy from Craigslist and I got to reading through this PDF https://docs.sony.com/release/specs/KV36HS500spec.pdf. According to a few DVI connector type images, this CRT TV supports DVI-D Dual-Link.
I was also planning on using either Hanzo's VGA box or the VGA cable linked in this thread: http://dreamcast-talk.com/forum/viewtop ... f=2&t=6107 if the CRT I purchased supported VGA input. My question is, would applying a VGA to DVI-D Dual-Link adapter introduce unnecessary input lag? or should I stick to an S-Video setup?
Edit: Learned that there will indeed be lag for this chosen setup unless the TV supported DVI-A which it does not. Going with a 'VGA to Component' transcoder solution.
VGA to DVI-D Adapter *solved*
