How Do You Save and Load Games in House of the Dead 2?

Hi. I have the official SEGa Light Gun and the VMU is in the DC controller (it's plugged in on port 1 on the left most, the gun is on the second coz' I think the gun only works on the 2nd port, on the 3rd port is the official fishing controller). We have the official House of the Dead 2 (using CRT flat PC monitor connected to a VGA box).

We can't get pass the 3rd boss and we keep going back to the beginning. How do you save and load games onto the VMU in House of the Dead 2 and in other games?

you plug your vmu in the back of the gun

Thanks. (it's got a rumble pack too). How about for other games like Sega Bass or Ikuruga or PowerStone?

for "normal" games played with the control pad, you obviously have to plug it into your pad, vmu on top & rumble pack below
