Properly compiling a cdi

Hi all

I found some potential cool stuff in a game and was trying to edit in some scripts to test it further to see how far it goes. I mounted the image onto daemon tools, copied all the files, and added the files into the compressed gamedata file. Then made a new cdi with bootdreams. Tested with demul and it boots fine but when i burn i get stuck at the second sega screen. Tested with a few different configs

Any suggestions on how to properly make a bootable cdi from files ripped off another cdi?

I'm not up on all of your steps, but one thing I found is that my Windows XP machine works fine but Win7 does not. I believe that with the tools I used, it has something to do with the BITs of my OS.

So what do you suggest? I could partition one of my spare computers to winxp, what tools do you use?
