I think most would agree with me that Dreamcast had a look and feel all its own across multiple genres. A clean crispness that felt comfortable even when engaged in a fight to the death! Perhaps no other game has that chill'n atmosphere quite as much as Virtua Tennis. Though i have not tried its DC sequel.
GAMEPLAY
It makes tennis on a tv fun. What more do you want? Realistic computer tennis most of the time appeals to me so little that only because of this game do i even consider it. Yet this game, much like real tennis, is a pleasant surprise at how engaging it is. plus it has all of these great extras like training mini games that are get this, a blast!
And a pro shop to buy sports drinks and equipment. Controls are in the hard to find category of: simple as you want them to be but can be used for more complex moves. Only negative i can think of is that in reaching for the ball you do tend to fall a lot.(or is that just me?

GRAPHICS/SOUND
It looks great. Even if your used to modern graphics this game is still VERY playable.
The sound is one of the reasons Vertua Tennis has that odd and awesome calmness to it. Just the whole sound index from the announcer to the music to how the screen transitions has that Saturn\Dreamcast era Sega style to it.
FUN FACTOR
I think you get the idea. Its very fun. Cant go wrong with this one. Although i have heard that the second is the same but with more players to choose from including women athletes. Perhaps its a better buy.
