Dreamcast Import Enabler

Post by shinerbock »

I after multiple failures with other boot disc images I've tried, I just broke down and bought this:

Dreamcast DC-IE Import Enabler
https://www.amazon.com/SEGA-Dreamcast-D ... rt+enabler

Have any of you folks ever used this? It claims to work with VGA which is a must for me. I've owned a PAL copy of Headhunter for 3 years now and I've never been able to play the damn thing, so if $25 solves that issue I'll be more than happy.

Just to close the loop on this, my DC-IE arrived yesterday and my Dreamcast is now able to play Headhunter like a champ. Looking forward to scoring a few more imports soon.

I've been using my Gameshark and while I haven't played any European games, I've had no problem with Japanese games on VGA with it.

Well, I might be looking into a new solution because I'm having a weird issue now. I'll put in my boot disc, wait until it displays the "Insert game disc" screen, I'll insert my game, and then the Dreamcast ends up back on the home screen. Hit "Play game" and it says, "Insert game disc." It does this over and over. It wasn't doing this last week, but I haven't been able to play an import game all weekend. Anyone experienced anything like this? Bummed I can't play Rez all of a sudden.
