Normal GDMENU boots perfectly fine.
Make sure your using v1.3.3, updated with the newest DAT files.

I have tried this, along with 1.3.5. Just can't get it to work.

I made the mistake using v1.3.5 first and it didn't work.

Now, I'm wondering if it's an issue with the latest clone firmware. Chime in if you have it working on a clone with the latest firmware.

Most people are still on the older firmware. Definitely could be a case of not working with the latest clone.

As a test, you could try my Atomiswave for openMenu build.

Your atomiswave openMenu build works perfectly! Thanks for that.

However, my custom build doesn't work at all. I am using all the latest versions of GD Menu Card Manager, openMenu, and the assets. I cleared the tools/menu_data folder and extracted all the new files into it and verified it matches what the instructions say. When I create my build, it just boots to a black screen that flickers every once in awhile, but the VMU does say openMenu.. so there is that. I am 100% sure I am doing something wrong here, but for the life of me, I am not sure what that is.

Here's the app I used to make the Atomiswave openMenu build. Extract it to your PC and give it a shot.

GDMENU Card Manager openMenu.7z (53.0MB):

Make a small build with just one GDI image as a test.

Most issues are when a CDI image is used.

Update: TheFritz01 has verified the above download is working.

That did the trick. I compared the Tools Folders between the one I was using and yours and I couldn't find the difference. I even copied the tools folder from yours and overwrote mine.. still didn't work. At any rate, the one you provided did the trick so I am all set.

I really appreciate your help!
