I tried OpenMENU and it works very well!
Though om my 55inch TV with DCHDMI (hw1) the game artwork does not look very well. Very low quality.
Is there something I can do about this or is it just live with it (because of the limitations of the DC)?

The artwork is 256x256 just like gdemu. It blurs then comes into focus for a clearer picture. Not sure if higher res shot can be used. I'll leave that answer to mrneo.

Re: openMenu Alpha 1
It would be a tradeoff like everything. You could cache fewer high res and blur longer or have lower res and have more in cache for better speed.
256x256 image is 128kb
512x512 image is 512kb
So you can fit a quarter of the images.
Also consider disc space.
1024 256x256 images is 128mb
1024 512x512 images is 512mb

I may be interested in the tool you are talking about, but it seems I can't access the post you're linking (getting "You are not authorised to read this forum.")Wombat wrote:Thanks to the tool posted here: https://www.dreamcast-talk.com/forum/vi ... 22&t=15253 I'm able to get the meta situation sorted, but not Crazy Taxi.
Also, I'm browsing the post, but so far I can't find anything about how to handle multiple ID for the same game. I assume it may be for localised versions (like Grandia 2 for which I get T4503M). Should we simply duplicate the line? If so, is it useful to push it in the metadata repository?
I'm trying to find a full list of IDs (regardless of the duplicated ID issue), I assume there should be a TOSEC database floating somewhere, but so far I can't seem to find it :/

Also unless a localized version has actually different content, I'm not sure the benefit of adding duplicate meta
From what I see grandia 2

JAP T4503M

redump's database with serials. Can't vouch for the accuracy.

IDK if it is legal but I scraped the entire site and verified against a scrape of all the ip.bins.MoeFoh wrote:redump's database with serials. Can't vouch for the accuracy.

From what I can tell it seems rather good, thanks.MoeFoh wrote:redump's database with serials. Can't vouch for the accuracy.

I see some double IDs sometimes that do not seem to be explained. But I found that Grandia 2 in its Japanese version has two, and one of them is listing a "limited edition" in imagedb.
