True i was somewhat disappointed to find that i couldnt play any light gun games on any of my new,large HDTVs . However House of the Dead 2, Virtua Cop 2 and Confidential mission are VGA enabled so couldnt you still play light gun games on dreamcast on your new HDTV via a VGA cable? I would like to buy a VGA cable soon to try this out (and of course see dreamcast games as they were meant to be seen)
the only two guns that i knows to be tested are the two stated in the thread. the official gun and the madcatz. i wonder if anyone else has tested their gun?

the type of cable is irrelevant in this case. the reason light guns don't work is because new tvs dont refresh like the old ones do. new HD sets mimic refreshing. or something like that, i cant remember all the details.
i lost everything when my pc contracted a virus. i did send them all to you though. so maybe they are on megauploads. perhaps if one of went through are old PMs?
i have a pelican lite gun i can test it when i get the chance. i might go and buy this other lite gun i think its a starfire one or somthing. but i recently bout a sdtv 27" and i cant use my litegun for house of the dead. i cant aim in the lower right corner. im going to try to set it on the 20" tv upstairs and see if it will work on the 27"

ya i tested the NES light gun pack with the Starfire light gun and it seemed to work ok with some games and not at all with others. For example i had decent accuracy in hogans alley but duck hunt didnt seem to support my gun at all.
Ive never had the OEM JP one and looks pretty nifty… But im hearing this is software locked out by US...

Ok, I purchased this Light gun (apparently US) and will be now testing some games, it shoots quite well, many options like autofire, autoreload, etc...
. However House of the Dead 2, Virtua Cop 2 and Confidential mission are VGA enabled so couldnt you still play light gun games on dreamcast on your new HDTV via a VGA cable? I would like to buy a VGA cable soon to try this out (and of course see dreamcast games as they were meant to be seen)
