Hi;
Just tried open menu and looks great, however there is missing art work for 4 iconic games;
Capcom VS SNK Pro (Jap)
Capcom VS SNK Pro 2 (Jap)
Super Street Fighter II X (JAP)
Sturmwind (2013)
Is there anyway we can implement these into OpenMenu?

Re: OpenMenu Missing important artwork
Switched over to Openmenu too and also noticed this.
I'm surprised the artwork is missing for these, they are relatively popular games...

Re: OpenMenu Missing important artwork
I've had a GDEMU since 2017 but I've just recently decided to setup Open Menu and was running into the same issue.
I've been searching for an answer to this question for the past few days and finally figured it out.
on Open Menu all of the images and game descriptions come from the .DAT files that you add to the menu folder when you set it up
the source-code and source images used to build this file is available in this repo: https://github.com/mrneo240/openMenu_imagedb/tree/main
Instructions are in the readme file there but basically you
1. download the source
2. run the setup.sh (only need to be run 1 time)
3. add your new images in the appropriate folder
4. modify the appropriate .csv catalog file to corelate the disc serial number to the image you added
5. run the process.sh to build the new DAT files
the .sh files are Linux Bash scripts, so they're made to be executed from command line in Linux. I believe there are ways to run bash scrips in windows. I don't have any experience in that personally.
since this is GIT Hub you can also do a pull request to contribute your changes to the repo if you want those additions to be available to all.

Re: OpenMenu Missing important artwork
I won’t make the switch to open menu until it starts reading homebrew and utility CDI files that standard GDEmu will easily read. There’s also a wireless controller issue when using open menu in GDEmu layout, there is a d-pad skipping issue known so far whilst using wireless Xbox One with Brook Wingman SD. Like I said, this and everything else work perfect in stabdard GDEmu.

you do know there's an Openmenu DAT tool for this specific scenario. viewtopic.php?f=22&t=15253twistedsymphony wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2024 9:58 pm I've had a GDEMU since 2017 but I've just recently decided to setup Open Menu and was running into the same issue.

Re: OpenMenu Missing important artwork
Blue Stinger and Puyo Puyo 4 are other games with missing artwork/metadata for OpenMenu.
I can't view that, maybe because I'm a new user?fraggle200 wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 4:05 am you do know there's an Openmenu DAT tool for this specific scenario. viewtopic.php?f=22&t=15253

Re: OpenMenu Missing important artwork
Thank you. Anyway, DoA2 LE (only the alt cover version, it's got a different ID than the regular jap version even though the game is identical) is also missing metadata and the artwork is cropped unevenly. A very minor thing, but I'll list more when I find more (hopefully I'll get to my 5th post that way haha)
