GDemu: some games don't start

Okay so my new 5.15 GDEMU arrived and I put the same SD card in there and everything works!!

So it sounds like my 5.20 GDEMU (which cost nearly 80 dollars over a year ago vs 30 dollars for the 5.15). Sadly because I had it in storage for so long it is too late for me to get a refund.

I have two questions. Has anyone heard of a GDEMU that only works in some games?!?! I don't get why my old one only runs a few games and the majority don't work. Is there someway to fix it?

My second question is Skies of Arcadia okay under 5.15? It is one of my favourite games but I don't mind skipping the intro if it works ingame or is it ALL video sequences don't work?

Second question.... Skies of Arcadia works. It's only the intro video. And Resident Evil Code Veronica glitch has a patch for 5.15 gdemu. Everything else runs like it should.

I had a similar issue which I found was due to GDIShrink. I don't shrink any of my GDIs now and they all seem to work (with GDEmu 5.20.5 and a microSD card)

Thanks for your response! Both the SD cards I tested with are standard SD not microSD.

I think I am going to test the 5.20 again once I get everything set. I found out the replacement PSU I bought was causing issues with the controllers (just weird disconnect errors). I did test with the original PSU but I am going to test one final time once I have tested everything and have it all working perfectly so I can rule out anything else.

DONT listen to those people who keep saying “just clean the pins” and give nothing more for advice. I’ve been an original GDEmu user since day one pretty much and I used to get frequent resets and freezing/audio stutter, cleaning the pins was only ever a temporary fix. I recently bought a USB-C PSU from robot_retro on eBay, and my DC has been perfect ever since. Spending out to try different PSUs besides the crappy Pico ones you see is worth doing.
