Just one thing I noticed in your recording. I was using the Doom player skin for that game I joined you in, and "Noname" was showing as Doom on my end as well. Is there a mix up occurring with the player models?
Thanks Olivus - it was great to see you on the server and glad you had fun :)

Since running dedicated server, I’ve noticed that player models can sometimes become “confused” with players as they connect and disconnect etc as well if people spectate and rejoin too.

The issue seems to rectify itself if you play through one arena and stay playing onto the next arena I think?

Not sure if this issue is particular to me or all Q3A servers?

Just a Q3 bug, when the map changes that bug solves itself.

Hi again all,

As the server has been up and running for a while now,‘I was just wondering if anyone could share their experiences on Dreamcast or PC?

Cheers! ✌️

there is a very high chance that no one used your server since the last time we played. I got servers running as well that no one uses

well that is why i dont bother with hosting 24/7.
You are better off hosting on uk game night like u did before with og servers. It really worked well there. Dont bother wasting time and effort with q3 24/7 servers. You got ping adavantage over dctalk for UK players on uk gamenight. You think uk players like playing pcwizard with his 20 ping against their 300 ping lol? Atleast in my servers i join with dc dailup

Completely accept that not many people use it but it’s nice to see the map number move up when you go back to check the master server list every now and again.

100% realistic about the server hardly getting used.

As mentioned in this thread, I bought a cheap Chinese mini PC to run a server 24/7. Not too bothered about the minuscule increase in my electricity bill and bandwidth usage.

I’m not bothered about extremely low usage rates of the server, the plan has always been to run a server 24/7. It’s nice to know it’s handy for UK and European players. 👍
