twistedsymphony wrote: Wed Jun 12, 2024 9:00 pm I want to say a big thank you to mrneo240 and Sonik for openmenu and the tools to update it

I've added cover images and meta-data to over 80 new titles on top of what was in the official pack, mostly JP releases that are manageable to play by a non native speaker, or those with translation patches available. I also updated dozens of older entries that had images and were missing meta data or simply were missing things like VMU blocks.

I figured I'd share if anyone else is interested in using this:

If I replace the original .DATs with this new ones do I get old metadata plus new (twistedsymphony) metadata or just the new metedada?
If it is just only the new metadata, is there a way to merge and release a new and more complete metadata?
Thanks

i've created a simple and easy to use openmenu theme creator for anyone that's interested in trying it out, it comes bundled with my gdmenu/openmenu hd theme manager here

if anyone decides to make any themes please feel free to send me the finished 640x512 png file and i will try to include it in with my app at some point.

cool !! I made several themes under Open Menu for my French community, I do this on Gimp, at format 640x512, what is long is to separate the file in two, 512x512 and 128x512, then I transform my image into Pvr. Then I adjust my .ini file for the colors, in cust-0, cust-01 etc etc. In short, by hand it works well but it takes time, so I will try your application tonight, I would probably save a lot of time :)

I already have some images, but there are inscriptions in French, I don't think that interests you :) I will try to modify them in a blank version and send it to you.

I just sent you some images :)
When checking the new INI file, I noticed that there was no "icon" line... And after checking on the screen, there are no icons (Number of players, VMU blocks) in color. My original Cust-0 is like this:

[THEME]
name=Essential
icon_color=21,96,189
text_color=0,0,0
highlight_color=21,96,189
menu_text_color=0,0,0
menu_highlight_color=21,96,189
menu_bkg_color=242,242,242
menu_bkg_border_color=200,200,200

and the new one with OETM:

[THEME]
name=Full theme dark
text_color=232,232,232
highlight_color=21,96,189
menu_text_color=255,255,255
menu_highlight_color=21,96,189
menu_bkg_color=0,0,0
menu_bkg_border_color=200,200,200
cursor_color=033,056,082
multidisc_color=255.2 55,255

i have received your themes and added them, currently my app doesn't have a way to do custom theme.ini files so for now you'd want to apply the theme with my theme creator then go into the theme folder afterwards and replace the theme.ini, perhaps i will add the ability soon to allow people to import a custom theme.ini for a theme in the app.

the longest for me was to split the files in half (BG-R and BG-L) and then convert them to PVR, it's much faster now.
