What an amazing Kotaku article. I love the picture of the kiosks playing W&W puzzle battle.
The thing that pisses me off the most about being a DC insider is not the Sony and Microsoft fanboys, that's a given, its when I come across another DC enthusiasts that aren't in the know about the new releases. Every DC fan should know about these new amazing games.
there is no excuse for not owning a copy of either RR Rally Racing or W&W puzzle battle

Re: Dreamcast story on Kotaku
We bought them both (Rad and I) although we bought the base releases, we love them. I am hoping that Tahi will come out by this time next year along with the new (and final, I' sure) RedSpotGames release.
I feel that 2011 will be the last we see of a Dreamcast release. Think about how many years our console has had life. No console can beat that (although Intellivision came close; 1979-1991).

Re: Dreamcast story on Kotaku
And that is why I bought mine last year, I had no idea it was still kicking and had so many homebrew and indie releases up until that time last year. I do not regret buying this one I have now, although I regret that I had no PC or internet back in 2001-2(to dl and burn games, never knew you could do that till early last year!) when I sold mine. I only sold it cause I could no longer find games for it, and I had already gotten a Gamecube and PS2 by the time I sold it.Bob Dobbs wrote: Think about how many years our console has had life. I always loved the DC, even after I sold it, I still thought about it from time to time, and would tell PS and Xbox and Nintendo fanboys about my beloved Shenmue games, and how they were the best games on the console.

Dreamcast hasn't gotten a 2010 release unfortunately and I can't imagine it will. If it doesn't, then the time span is 1998 to 2009. 11 years.Bob Dobbs wrote:We bought them both (Rad and I) although we bought the base releases, we love them. Also, hate to bearer of bad new, but the Neo Geo AES went from 1990 to 2004, 2006 if you include Last Hope.
14, 16 if you include Last Hope. But that's still be 13 with a 2011 release of anything for the Dreamcast. Falling behind both Neo Geo numbers.

Re: Dreamcast story on Kotaku
The atari 2600 launched it 1977 and was officially discontinued in 1992. The atari halo game had a limited atari cartridge release adding another year to that. Plus whatever games came out after 1992. That's 15 years of selling a system yet alone the games made after.
