I have a VGA Box hooked up to my Dreamcast running to my Samsung HDTV. I am noticing thru the entire screen what seems like grainy little dots thru the entire image. They are barely noticeable. At first I thought maybe the Dreamcast just had some grainy poloygon graphics but I never really recalled that before, I tried running that same VGA box on 2 different monitors and it does the same thing.
Is this normal when running a VGA Box? Or is there something wrong with the VGA Box? I can take pictures to better describe what I am talking about if need be.
Thanks to anyone who can provide some information on this!

Re: VGA Picture Issue
There is no brand name listed anywhere on the Box. It's a clear plastic with an orange sticker on it that says DC VGA BOX.
I found one on Ebay, here is a link so you can see what it looks like.

I didn't think it was normal, I didn't recall Dreamcast games having a faint grainy look to them.

Re: VGA Picture Issue
I've got the same VGA box. Picture is crisp with it.
Definitely an issue with the one you have.

Here is a pic of it. Used a dark image so you can clerly see the grainy overlay.
I also found another Dreamcast and it does the same thing

Re: VGA Picture Issue
You can see when looking at the orange bar in that pic how it really messes up the color as well. I think this VGA box is bout 4 years old. I havent used it for at least a year but perhaps it's messed up. Any suggestions on a brand I should use for a replacement?

Re: VGA Picture Issue
What's the size of the TV you are using? From the looks of the pic you provided, it appears normal to me at least to me. These grainy dots become more apparent when the Dreamcast VGA output is displayed on a large set.
