Re: PBA 2001 stuck at start menu
I wish I was that lucky, now the game works I can't connect online. It gives me the message "The server has refused the connection" I have my dreamcasts IP in a DMZ and I've also tried port forwarding. Are there any other options I have?

What IP are you DMZ'ing? Curious if you got the correct IP in. it should end in .98

.98 as it is on dreamcast lives guide page. I also tried port forwarding the listed ports for the same address. Curiously though my dreamcast doesn't show up as a DHCP client on my routers devices list

my router shows my dc connected through my pi's ip address when I search for it. Are you using a router modem combo? or Individual units?

It's a standard ISP modem router combo unit. I've seen my dreamcast appear on the client list before. Perhaps it's my dreampi now

Re: PBA 2001 stuck at start menu
Did you use "pass" as password?
You should be able to connect without any port-forwarding/dmz, that
is needed when you actually want to play a game

Yeah I used 'pass' as the password, I updated my DreamPi to version 1.6 just now and I can now connect to the server. I'll have to try a match later with someone but for now once again problem solved. Thanks to everyone for your patience and help
