need help with my GDEMU

so just got my gdemu version 5.51b and when i installed it after putting on the standoffs it doesnt feel like it fits/snaps all the way into the io port on my DC am i missing something or? havent tested it as im just now setting up my SD card

for context i put the 3 plastic standoffs in to the GDEMU and pushed it as far down as it will go but when i look under the GDEMU it looks like the part the connects to the DC IO port isnt in all the way maybe thats just how they designed it
