White label promo's

Post by olie3146 »

So I've been slowly building my collection of white label promo's, and I was thinking, is there a definitive list of all the promo copies available?.. or am I right in thinking that pretty much every retail release would have had a promo copy at some point?

Never seen a complete list like that before. Are any others of those betas like Fighting Vipers 2?

I find it useless (or at least a waste of time), if I have to collect something & I don't have a list to start from

as for the other question: most of these are complete games as they came out if thats what you're asking

I was more curious if you had details for which ones actually are betas. atreyu187 dumped his Fighting Vipers 2 white label and ripped it for RDC. It would be nice to know which others actually are betas so we could look for them and release them.

none are betas as far as I know, they are all working games which were used to send to reviewers of magazines some time before the game actually came out

Fighting Vipers 2 is definitely a beta. It's printed on the disc and IIRC carries a different version number than the final game. Most are identical, yes, but at least FV2 was a beta.

That's strange. Why would they send a beta out to reviewers? Seems like asking for a poor rating. Maybe it was a fairly clean beta, but a beta nonetheless.

have you played (and finished) it?

I remember it saying beta on ready to rumble as well, but I didn't see any changes.

it even says master disk on the PSOv2 one, but there's really nothing different about it
