Coming back (the hard way)

Hi everybody,

So, for this 2015, I decided to go back to video console gaming. Taking my old DC, plugging it again, and playing right away?

No, this was too easy.

I took my PAL DC in Europe, moved to USA, bought a voltage downscaler (220 to 110V), bougth a VGA to HDMI adapter (no VGA on our current TV ), and ready to rumble.

For luggage constrains, I had to leave most of my games and peripherals (keyboard, gun...) in Europe, and just put some games on thin plastic sleeves. At least is something .

Just discovered that the clock battery is dead, and didn't take my soldering stuff with me, so I will need to deal with the annoying resetting at each boot .

But the fun pays off . See you around!

The battery in the Dreamcast is rechargeable so try leaving it on overnight to see if it holds the charge.

Yes, I had read about it and tried leaving it powered on for a few hours (like 4?), but the day after was gone again. Could try again, longer time, but I suspect it is completely dead.

I'm pretty sure if you have 2 sessions of Dreamcast playing a day (about one or two hours each), then it probably won't bug you to set the time. I started doing this for about a month, and it has never bugged me since.

I guess playing Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi for 8 hours straight really paid off...
