Hi everyone, I'm new on the forum, first the openmenu its amazing the DC needs something like that years ago. Well I enter here asking for help:
How I could choose the cover of the games?

I wanna put all JP covers, that are just amazing, I had everyone on the right size (256x256) but I don´t know how to add it, please help

You want japan covers for all games even if from us or europe?

I want to say a big thank you to mrneo240 and Sonik for openmenu and the tools to update it

I've added cover images and meta-data to over 80 new titles on top of what was in the official pack, mostly JP releases that are manageable to play by a non native speaker, or those with translation patches available. I also updated dozens of older entries that had images and were missing meta data or simply were missing things like VMU blocks.

I figured I'd share if anyone else is interested in using this:

So I have added a bunch of covers and info too. Is there an easy way to merge two DATs? Combine what you have done with what I have added?

Hey guys, I'm also new to the forum and would love to check out the DAT tool.

I really appreciate all the work so far! I recently got and modded my first Dreamcast, and openMenu has made it so easy to set up and play.

After the incredible work marky-b-1986 has done on making custom background images and themes...

Its now an official feature of openMenu, allowing you to load up to 10 custom themes

you get 10 folders with the name cust_# and can use 0-9

each folder gets 3 files:
BG_L.pvr and BG_R.pvr

Hello everyone, I'm working on a special OpenMenu for the French community. So I have all my games in PAL, Box, Meta, Icon, thanks to the wonderful OpenMenuDatTool. No problem for me, everything works so far. But today, I would like to create a custom theme for this OpenMenu, like Honey or Black, the custom themes.
I'm looking for a video or a tutorial like the one by marky-b-1986, but it doesn't exist on Streamable anymore.
I created my two PVRs in the right format, 512x512 for the left and 512x128 for the right, under these names: bg_l and bg_r, but it doesn't work. I obviously have a PVR problem or something else, I don't understand. Is the syntax correct for my two pvr files? BG-L or bg_l?
I've seen a lot of stuff about GdMenu custom themes but I haven't found anything similar for OpenMenu custom themes.
